Synonyms: Erudite, Philosopher, Scholar, Doctor

Special: Archetype

Alchemist is an Archetype, it is a special kind of Feat. A character can only have one Archetype in total. Apart from that, Archetypes are like normal Feats and may be taken at character creation or on any level up. On your sheet, mark Alchemist as one of your Feats and add all Feats gained separately.

Description

"This true without lying, certain and most true. That which is below is like that which is above and that which is above is like that which is below to do the miracles of one only thing (...) The Sun is its father, the moon its mother, the wind hath carried it in its belly, the earth is its nurse. The father of all perfection in the whole world is here. " Hermes Trismegistus, father of alchemy

You have spent your life trying to achieve the Magnum opus, the creation of the philosopher's stone that brings wealth and the elixir of long life that bring immortality.

The work of famous alchemists have been fuelling your art for years, Aristotle, Plato, Albertus Magnus, Thomas Aquinas, Roger Bacon as well as Abu Musa al-Sufi

On the shoulder of those giants you stand and have uncovered countless secrets.

Either a rich benefactor is spending a fortune on furbishing your laboratory and finance your countless expeditions in search for rare tomes and ingredients or you are engulfing your own fortune. You made some great discoveries in chemistry and medicine but that's not your goal.

Your thirst for knowledge cannot be quenched. It makes no doubt, you are very close to the truth !

The Inquisition will grant you access to the knowledge you seek in exchange of your help. You agreed.

As an Alchemist, the character gains the Feat Knowledge.

If his background justifies it, he also gains the ⭐ Faith Feat.

Additionally, he gains one Feat of his choice in this list :

Unless his background justifies it, the character cannot take the Combat, Strong or True Strike Feats.

Note that not all alchemists have this feat and the character may de facto be of this profession without having it.
