Synonyms: Erudite, Philosopher, Scholar

Special: Archetype

Alchemist is an Archetype, it is a special kind of Feat. A character can only have one Archetype in total. Apart from that, Archetypes are like normal Feats and may be taken at character creation or on any level up. On your sheet, mark Alchemist as one of your Feats and add all Feats gained separately.

Description

"It is true, certain and veritable that the miracle of what is XXXXXXXXXXX

You have spent your life trying to achieve the Opus Magnus, the creation of the philosopher's stone and the elixir of long life.

You have read countless times the work of your fellow alchemists, aristotle, hermes trismegiste, etc... OTHER NAMES....

A rich mecene is spending a fortune on furbishing your laboratory and finance your endless expeditions in search for rare tomes and ingredients, unless you are engulfing your own fortune. You made some great discoveries in chemisty and medicine but that's not your goal.

Your thirst for knowledge cannot be quenched. It makes no doubt, you are very close to the truth !

The Inquisition will grant you access to the knowledge you seek in exchange of your help. You agreed.

An Alchemist is necessarily an accomplished scholar, you gain the general Knowledge Feat.

Knowledge (apothecary) Knowledge (medicine) Knowledge (heresy) (you have to succeed, no matter the cost) Rich (your research is more advanced than you dare to admit) Immunity (your research is more advanced than you dare to admit) Noble Sleepless Photographic memory

If the character is attempting an action related to the general Knowledge Feat, he must roll a die six. With no possibility to roll again for this whole situation.

On a 1,2,3,4 this Feat has no effect.

On a 5 or 6 the character is considered to have the Knowledge Feat momentarily.

Both disciplines being related, the character may also try to roll in similar conditions to reproduce the effect of the Knowledge (apothecary) and Knowledge (heresy) Feat.

Alchemists are always supported by a powerful mentor who wants to reap the benefits of their art if they were ever to find the philosopher's stone, so the character may try to roll in similar conditions to reproduce the effect of the Rich Feat if he's able to contact his benefactor.
