Apocalypse
Synonyms: Catastrophe, Disaster, Doomsday
Special: Prowess
Apocalypse is a Prowess, this special kind of Feat is an action that can only be done once per scenario.
To acquire it, you need to already have another Feat related to it, for example : ⭐ Faith or ⛧ Dark Faith, character at least level 6
Your Game Master may accept to waive such prerequisites if your background or in game actions justify it.
Description
To speak of the Apocalypse is to speak of God’s scourge upon the earth, as in the days of Noah, of Sodom, and of Pharaoh. When this Prowess is called upon, creation itself trembles with signs of judgment.
When you use this Feat, roll a die 6. On a result of 1–4, nothing happens, and the Prowess is used and cannot be used a second time during this scenario. No natural disaster was bound to happen at this time. On a result of 5–6, however, a great calamity is unleashed at the discretion of the Game Master, as if heaven itself had opened its hand in wrath.
Such calamities may take the form of: - **Earthquakes** splitting the earth beneath towers and cathedrals, as in the days of Korah’s rebellion. - **Floods** like unto the waters of the Deluge, drowning streets and valleys. - **Lightning storms** consuming steeples and strongholds, recalling the fire upon Sodom. - **Landslides** or **avalanches** swallowing villages as if the mountains themselves cried out. - **Great fires** devouring districts, like the burning of Babylon. - **Plagues** spreading swiftly, as in the curses upon Egypt.
The effect is catastrophic: within the scale of a city, buildings collapse, lives are lost, and devastation strikes all in its path. Yet all the players, and any characters or buildings they choose, are miraculously spared.
It is unclear whether the usage of this Feat truly brought the disaster forth, or whether the calamity was destined to occur at that very moment regardless.
