Iram of the Pillars is supposedly where the Necronomicon was written in the Lovecraft universe, I made some references to it, but my version of the evil book is closer to bible.
Of course the pottery with a crocodile-seal creature is a reference to this Lovecraft novel : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nameless_City
Through the scenario I make mentions of the plagues of Egypt because since the characters are about to find the book of the Pharo's magicians, it perfectly makes sense (they are the ones who suffered from the plagues of egypt and tried to replicate them)
