Chevalier de l'ordre de Saint-Lazare de Jérusalem, cheveux grisonnant mais visage en partie défiguré. Entré dans l'ordre des Hospitaliers de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem très jeune en tant que combattant, il apprend à leurs côtés à prendre soin des malades. Touché par la lèpre il quitte les Hospitaliers et rejoint l'ordre de St-Lazare. Depuis que son visage a été atteint il porte presque en permanence son heaume et ses gantelets de plaques.
