→Nothing stops the plague
The same night two assasins unlock and open their door. They use a skeleton key that belonged to John XXII.
Unless the players have [[Instinct]] or stay awake or anything that could help them wakeup, they have to spend one [[Faith]] to be awaken. Because the assasins are quite stealthy.
The assasins are wearing worn crusaders armours.
Élie de Nabinal is assassinated on that night 12th of January. He dies of the plague. (The players can’t prove he was assassinated)
His vallet Tancrède le Bon disappeared.

The librarian explains that for some reason, the pope seemed passionate about alchemy, and at some point in his life he made a bull to ban alchemy ! Very strange.
